I prefer the Black, but pretty cool, eh?
All I can do is be as reportorial and
objective as one can be in a basically subjective experience. Perhaps my premises will be
valid to you as you read them.

Journeys out of the Body Pg.101
I first encountered Astral Projection in 1994 when a
friend left a couple of books at my apartment. I had never heard of it before but was
captured as soon as I started to read. When I was young I sometimes would see my body from
about 6 feet above my bed. Sometimes I could see an image of myself above me even though I
was in bed with my eyes closed. It was along time ago but this book suddenly gave me an
answer to something I always wondered about. For days I read these two books, one was Journeys
Out of The Body by Robert Monroe the other I think was Leaving Your Body in Thirty
Days, by Scott Rago. Robert Monroe immediately caught my interest because he seemed
like an ordinary guy not a new age preacher or occultist( nothing against occults, one of
my best friends is a wiccan). Robert just explained it as he knew it, straightforward and
impartial. After about a month of practice I came close several times but never had what I
would consider an OOBE. My dream control and lucidity improved incredibly. I was able to
remember and control my dreams more often. For a long time I was having 4 lucid dreams a
week. I have gradually recognized that they now come in intervals and know not to force
them when the time is not right. Usually I will have 5 during one week of the month. I
have'nt consciously attempted a OOBE in over a year and I am hoping a New's Years
resolution will help:( I still read books on the subject, I convince myself I'm in the
study stage not the practice stage. I think I'm up to 15-17 books.
I was raised a catholic but consider myself undecided on
my faith. I agree with the morals the church taught me but am weary of the institution of
catholicism. I have trouble believing Jesus wants us to live under all the rules of the
church. If he died on the cross for me, I thank him from the bottom of my heart and I think
he would want us to live life the way we want to. I do believe in some all-powerful
God/Force but fables of Jesus on earth have been rewritten too many times for me to trust
it completely. I also do not consider myself to be a cultist. I do believe there is
intelligent life out there but the belief they are hiding behind comets is alittle kooky.
My interest in OOBE is strictly for personal and spiritual reasons and has nothing to do
with rituals or satanism. It is an exploration of oneself and is as natural as yoga or
meditation.
It is funny how we believe that electrons circle the
nucleus of an atom even though we can't see them with the naked eye, but won't believe
about a second spiritual body. The point is that there is more to reality than are senses
can pick up. Just because we can't detect them doesn't discredit their validity.
Entries from my Dream Journal
**The following entries are some of
the LUCID dreams I've had. These were not ordinary dreams. I had almost complete control
over their outcome and was fully aware I was dreaming at the time they happened.
"Meeting Myself" 1995
This is one of my most lucid dreams ever. Shortly
after I started practicing OOBE I had this very lucid dream. This dream is still fresh in
mind after almost two years. Even before my OOBE practices I have had an unusal ability to
fly at will in my dreams and this night was no exception. I was flying about 10-15' off
the ground in a condominium complex that my cousin lived in a year before. There were lots
of kids playing in the street and it was a sunny day. I noticed my car in one of the
driveways. This makes no sense, but I thought that if this was my house I could go find my
body and maybe have an OOBE. I flew up to the second story window and looked inside. I was
utterly amazed to see myself in the room walking around. This other me didn't seem to see
me in the window. I looked around the room and saw my furniture, clothes and my pictures
on the wall. I called out to this other me so I could talk to him. But he seemed to ignore
me. It looked like this other me had just taken a shower (his hair was wet) he was
finishing getting dressed and getting ready to leave. I called again and this time he
responded by saying, "Leave me alone!!". This really caught me by suprise! I was
actually talking with myself and I had a serious attitude prob.!! He grabbed a backpack
and left the room. I then flew down to the ground by the front door and waited for him.
When the other me came out the door I tried to get in front of him and explain that I only
wanted to ask him some questions. He was very rude and got in the car and sped off. I was
very confused why I was so mean to myself.? I then flew down the street and around a house
in frustration. There was a short period where I blacked out and then I was flying about
10' in the air over the grounds of my old high school. I briefly said hello to a lady
walking her dog and then kept flying in the direction of my house. Note: When I came to at
the end I was about three miles to the east and flying in the opposite direction.
"Putting arm through solid matter"
Feb. 19,1997 about 8:00am
It is extremely rare for me to have dreams where I am in my own
apartment, but last night I had one. I casually walked up to a door and went to close it
when my arm went right through it. At first I didnt think anything of it, I really
thought I was awake. But one step later it clicked what just happened. I went back to the
door and slowly put my hand to the door to push it and sure enough it went right through.
I immediately got very excited. Maybe this was an OOBE! I walked over to the wall and put
my right arm through the wall (about ¾ of my forearm). This was great I could actually do
it more than once. I tried a second time on the wall and this time I was surprised when
the wall stopped my arm. In fact I remember putting a 8" hole in the wall, it
didnt completely break through the wall only the drywall on my side was broke, it
was more of a large divet. I tried a third time and my arm went right through the area I
just partially broke. This was confusing, it worked 3 times then didnt and then
worked again.!? After my second success on the wall I stopped to carefully look at my arm
to see what it looked like. I expected it to be hazy, semi-transparent kinda ghostly, but
it looked very solid to me. Actually my arm looked grainy or pixilated. This all happened
in-between my snooze alarm (7-min.) Have found no
dents in my walls.
